the starting point of our semester project is a public square in berlin. it served as a basis for dealing with at first invisible conditions of the place, the city and the people: we were looking at ephemeral, atmospheric, historical, political or utopian aspects, based on our individual ephemeral observations and peripheral perceptions. after first explorations, notations and mappings of what had been found, further investigations followed, such as a research in archives, the inclusion of objects, materials, texts or references to film and photography.
in order to make the invisible visible and tangible for other observers, we designed an exhibition that will be worn on our own bodies or that is directly linked to them. this performative exhibition is intended to become an experimental dialogical space in urban space: a spatial, temporary and nomadic structure in which words, language, things, images, typography and other media are related to each other. this performative exhibition addresses the role of public space, the positioning of the own body in the city, and uses it as a space of encounter, space for communication and a stage. through an interplay with urban space, the space of the body expands into an experimental exhibition space in which corporality, movement and action create a dialogical relationship with the audience.
